Founder’s Story — From One Truck to a National Operation
Mother City Bricks & Logistics was founded by Shadreck Bungeni, an entrepreneur who built his business from the ground up — literally.
The journey began as a one-man operation under Shadreck Transport, running a single 10-ton truck and personally servicing clients across the Western Cape. Through reliability, hard work, and a commitment to delivering on time, demand quickly grew.
One truck became two. Two became three.
But Shadreck saw more than just transport opportunities — he saw a gap in the market for high-quality bricks. Determined to meet that demand, he imported a premium brick-making machine capable of producing M140 bricks, bringing in an engineer to assemble and commission the equipment. What started as transport expanded into manufacturing.
Growth accelerated.
More trucks were added. More machinery was acquired. Production expanded to include M140s, M190s, maxi bricks, pavers, and other essential building materials.
Today, Mother City Bricks & Logistics operates a fleet of over 20 trucks, servicing construction and mining industries across South Africa — while producing high-quality bricks trusted by contractors and developers.
